 | Treweren Consultants was formed in 1988 by Keith and Cathy Davies shortly after
they sold their controlling shareholding in Chemical Design to Oxford Molecular
(now part of Accelrys). |
| Keith founded Chemical Design in 1983, gained the Queens Award for Export in
1988, and took the company public in 1996. In his role as Technical Director, his
primary contribution was the strategic direction of Chem-X, including the innovative
development and application of 3D database and pharmacophore technology. |
| Cathy joined Chemical Design in 1984 and worked on Chem-X from its earliest days,
both in customer support and in programming. She was responsible for implementing
much of the pharmacophore technology, especially in receptor screening. Both Keith and Cathy
contribute to the development and support of the THINK pharmaceutical software. |
| For a number of years, the company has been developing websites for some local businesses, schools
and non-profit organisations. While some of these websites have been a few simple pages others have
used PHP, Javascript and MySQL in order to provide sophisticated capabilities such as online shopping,
calendars, photogalleries or dynamic graphics. |
| Cathy and Keith are governors of local schools which has increased their understanding
of the role websites can play communicating information to parents and pupils. It also means that they
have first hand experience of the budget challenges which many schools face today. |
